Susan, a very vivid description. Unfortunately, the crying continues....My college roomie died his first day in Vietnam and I haven't gotten over it yet.

Dear Susan,
I just sent you an online card wishing you a Happy Memorial Day on Monday, then read your piece here! It's such a great reminder that we should always remember to honor our brave war veterans and the many sacrifices they've made in the name of freedom.
Thank you for posting this vivid description of such a special holiday.
Love you,
Sandi.

As our heroes are remembered, I have regret in my heart for those who do not feel goosebumps running throughout their body nor feel the tug at their heart when seeing the great American flag pass. God has favored this nation always. Will he continue to do so today as our governemnt fights amoung itself? Laurel

Hi Sabina, because you live in India (I believe),you may not recognize the event I was writing about: Memorial Day -- the day in May when we Americans extend our gratitude to those who have served and defended our country since the beginning of our nation. I appreciate your letting me know that you like what I've written.
