I felt every twinge & pain right along with you. After all I had 6 kids but our boy, Owen came on Valentine's Day. Took his time too. Good birthday story, Gail

Yeah, how do those kids grow up so fast?

What a splendid tale! I loved every minute of it, especially the nurse telling you what she thought she knew better than you. Carol

BJ --Your account is interesting, funny, and informative -in a word I learned a lot about what you dear mothers go through even though I guess I already knew much about it. I think I may ask God (when I see Him)--couldn't He have found an easier way for mothers to have babies? Of course, I have other questions to ask Him as well- Why did He make dog lives so short? Since I have no children of my own - I have adopted the whole animal family group- loving some more than others, but wishing lives free of suffering for all of them. Of course, dogs, cats, and horses are among my favorites and I do commiserate with mother cows!

Hi BJ. I enjoyed your Almost Firecracker baby story. I have a son who was also 40 this year. And he's now dad to two sweet little girls. Being a mom and grandma is one of my greatest blessings.

Love your story, all the detail! July 1968 brought your first fireworks in real living color, BJ, and your first child in very real firecracker time...congrats and Happy July 5th Birthday, Brian.
;) Susan
