There are many people out there who actually need help, but can't get it because of the actions of others. It's sad to see how badly some abuse programs such as Medicare. BJ

There are so many people who do need help. When I see this type of situation, where staff have learned to ignore demands from someone who abuse the system, I wonder, how does this impact others ... not deliberately, but because they are so busy, it is harder to make the time to understand the needs of an undemanding patient.

I have a friend who's mother at 88 years old recently had to have surgery twice within a month. I heard her say a number of times she wasn't in pain, but her body language said otherwise. You could see the difference when she was given pain medication, as she would relax, and would sleep more than two hours at a time.

Fred, this is one thing I have seen over and over. they get it all and we pay for it all. It is a sorry system with the medicare and medicaid. This year wait and see what our payment that will go up with our medicare will be. Hang in there, nothing we can do about it. But it sure makes you burn. Worked with lots of temps on welfare, same situation.
