Hi Dick,
Your story has a surprise ending that left me saying "Yikes" and "Oh, Noooo!" aloud! My eyes even got wide as I stared at the typed words on the monitor screen. I like stories with a twist, and this one surely has it.
Hunger often causes people to behave strangely and/or obsessively.
Sincerely,
Sandi in FL.

Sandi, I assure you I'm not hungry. I act strange for other reasons.

Hi Dick,
You have a very creative mind, a little of Stephen King, and Edgar Allen Poe maybe?
I enjoyed reading it.

You put me in very fine company indeed for a midwest hick.
