When our forefathers wrote the Constitution they were creating what was intended to be, and the intention was so stated, that we have a government, ďOf the people, by the people and for the people.Ē In the beginning it was just that. The government was made up of candidates from among the people. They ran on platforms of doing various things for the people. They were then voted upon and elected to office by the people.

It was good, and it worked vastly superior to any other form of government. Our nation grew great because of it. It became the greatest nation on earth.

Times have changed. Ours is no longer a government of the people. The only ones who can become candidates any more are the ones who can come up with the money to run, or the financial backers to help them run. Otherwise, they donít stand a chance.

Our government Is no longer a government for the people. Those who run for office or are already in office are beholden to the people who financed their getting elected. Most want to get re-elected so they bow to those who paid to get them in office to begin with, because they are the ones who hold the purse strings to their future.

Our government is rapidly becoming no longer a government by the people either. More and more there are ways contrived to cheat at the ballot box. All kinds of little gimmicks are used. We learn for example that some people vote in several different districts in the same election. Others who have been dead for a few years have never been removed from the registered rolls and those dead persons mysteriously show up to vote. If photo ID is required then our Justice Department under Erick Holder sues in the courts to stop that on the grounds that it is somehow racist.

Where finances are involved for financing campaigns, we find that companies from other states interfere in the elections of a state with major contributions to push or to defeat a particular candidate because they have an interest in the outcome, even though they are not involved in that state. I have received requests by mail and e-mail to donate to a candidate in a race in another state where I donít even reside. I know this is a nationwide practice by both parties.

I recall when Bill Clinton was running for re-election, his Vice President Al Gore was caught accepting a huge check from the Chinese government while visiting a Buddhist Temple. This is an interference in our presidential election by a foreign government. Obviously they were not doing it out of the kindness of their heart. Clearly they expected to get something in return for it if Bill Clinton won the election, and he did.

We are no better. Ever since the end of the second world war at least, the CIA has spent millions of our tax payers dollars interfering in the elections of other countries in an effort to have the outcome of their elections more to our advantage. Sometimes they may have succeeded and sometimes not.

Now, Obama has a group of more than a hundred of his election experts who helped engineer his two victories, in Israel trying to cause the current Prime Minister to lose in his coming election, together with his party because Obama does not like the current Israeli Prime Minister and wants to get him defeated. As far as we know this is all privately funded by some of Obamaís largest contributors.

Who determines in these interferences in foreign elections what is best for us? Do we the people? No. Those determinations are made by those who provided the majority of the donations to get whoever is in power elected. In this case, Obama, but it works both ways. Obama is by no means the first to interfere in the elections of a foreign country. In this particular case I believe his actions are to our nationís detriment but others probably believe the opposite of what I do.

The point is that I believe it is wrong and should stop. I donít believe in politicians jumping from state to state just because their chances of winning are good either and that has been practiced freely. The Kennedys and the Clintons have done it and so has Mitt Romney. His father was governor of Michigan and he was governor of Massachusetts. George Bush was governor of Texas and Jeb Bush was governor of Florida, and so on.

I believe we need to make some amendments to the Constitution regarding our election laws. I believe we need to get back to government of the people, for the people and by the people. I think we need to keep other countries out of our elections and we need to stay out of the elections of other countries. Fair and free elections are a thing of the past. They need to be brought back again.
