Happy’s Korner…
By Chuck Dishno
June 8, 2015

I am happy to have my Lutheran Pastor stopping by to give Roz and I Holy Communion.

I am happy to be alive. Not that there was any doubt but it has been a rough 8 months.

I am happy that I got my new electric wheelchair and can now get out to my scooter then off to coffee and church.

I am happy to have gotten out of the house for the first time in over 6 months

I am happy to live in a community that has home health come visit me three times a week.

I am happy that a friend from church came by and dropped off two tomato plants. Fried green tomatoes on the menu soon.

I am happy that Roz is feeling well enough to drive to the grocery store for second time this year. Yeah, Roz!.

I am happy that I am not a vegan and can still enjoy a hot dog, KFC, hamburger and milk without feeling guilty.

I am happy to believe that man does not live by broccoli and tofu alone. Thank God for cows.

I am happy to have friends come in every day to help me with my mobility such as leg braces.

I am happy to look out my window and see the birds emptying my bird feeder in about 3 hours.

I am happy to feed the birds and they are not homeless.

I am happy to be feeling so much better that I want to write every day now and post on OurEcho

I am happy to receive comments on my writings. They are much appreciated.

I am happy to tell everyone how much in love I am with my beautiful Roz. We just celebrated our 45 wedding anniversary.

I am happy to hear Roz say, “I love you, Chuckie every night and know she means it.”

I am happy that she said that, 45 years ago and still believes in me. Roz is my inspiration to keep on living.

I am happy to hear her say, when someone asks her how she puts up with Chuck, “He makes me laugh.”

I am happy Roz and I are each other’s very best friend.

I am happy that we both have a deep belief in God and will share that belief through eternity.

I am happy that Roz and I can laugh at the little adversities in life and know that things will always be better.

I am happy that I will always believe in these United States and that we will rebound from the downward spiral that we seem to be in right now.

I am happy that I believe in our motto “In God We Trust” Semper Vigilo, Fortis, Paratus et Fidelis: Always Vigilant, Always Brave, Faithful and Ready

I am happy to have so many email and OurEcho friends who take me for what I am.

I am happy that even though I could have many things to complain about, I don’t let them bother me.

I am happy that I am an eternal optimist and I will survive no matter what comes. God will look after me and take me into His arms when the time comes.

To sum it all up, I am one Happy Bugger!!!

God Bless you all.
