Wherever I have worked, Iíve made great friends. Many of them still stay in touch
after twenty or thirty years. They are the friends I count on.

Friends come and go. The real friends last forever, until one dies. Thatís the
final end.

I have attended two funerals in the last few months. One was for a young lady
of nineteen. She used to live in the apartment below us and adored Ginny. Ashlynn
visited Ginny almost daily.

She died in a car accident. Please donít text and drive.

When I started work at HP in Boise, I found a jackpot of friends. These are
people who will always be friends.

One of those friends recently lost her battle with cancer. During my layoff,
another co-worker and I would have lunch with her every couple of weeks. It broke
our hearts to see her deteriorate. A few days ago, I cleaned out the voice messages on
my cell phone. I found one from her. I choked up. It was a voice from the grave. Needless
to say, I didnít delete it. When I want to hear her voice, even if it was near the end of
her life and very weak, I know I have a part of her with me.

Donít ignore the people who care about you or you care for. One day they or you
will be gone.

Friendships are special.
