We’ve lived next door to our current neighbors for a couple years. They’ve
struggled with many problems. One of them is their son’s issues. Since we’ve known them,
their son struggled with communicating. He understands, but can’t express himself vocally.

We’ve witnessed his frustration. The four-year-old, tried to vocalize what he wanted to
say but gave up and retreated into himself.

Gin and I saw and felt bad for them. The boy wanted to talk, but just couldn't say what he
wanted to express.

His condition made him shy.

If I could not express my feelings verbally to someone, I’d withdraw too.

I talked to his dad one day. His son came out the door. I smiled at him. “Hey, Buddy!
How are you doing?”

He smiled back, said, "I'm fine!" He then walked up to me, opened his arms and gave me a big hug.

He found a way to show his feelings. It melted my heart.

He expressed it all with a hug.
