In May of 2016, I wrote to you about a rash on my leg. That rash spread over both
legs, to my arms and then my torso. I couldn’t sleep. I’d wake scratching all night long. There
was no relief.

I was exhausted all day long. Lack of sleep dragged me down. The itching never stopped.

My feet and ankles were the worse. I scratched and tore at my skin. They leaked a fluid that
dried with into a nasty crust.

Steroid shots helped. One shot cleared it up, but a few months later it was back. The
rash and itching returned.

My wife slept in our spare room. She had to wake at 4 AM for work. She couldn’t be in
bed with me. My scratching kept her awake. She needed a good night’s sleep to get through her
day.

I went to two different dermatologists. Both were stumped. They had no idea what was
going on with me.

My primary doctor took a number of blood tests and two skin biopsies. There was an
a small abnormal indication, but they didn’t know what it was.

They started looking internally. They took a CT scan and a PET scan. They found
nothing.

A year and a half later, after all the tests, they still don’t know what is going on.

My doctor now thinks I may have a blood disease of some kind.

“Are you thinking Leukemia?” I asked.

He said, “Yes.”

He did a test for a vitamin deficiency. If that comes up normal, he will have me
get a bone marrow test for leukemia.

This is getting very scary.
