Snowflakes (2)

swarm in a frenzy of winter-white.
They flit and dip
as a band of chick-a-dees
and moaning doves
the wind directing their affections.
Flakes come at you
morning-strong
in a great wave of firefly might.
Dots of momentum
here – there and everywhere.

(c) 2018 Richard L. Provencher

“This poem acknowledges the
myriad of snow-fronts which
have assailed Truro Nova Scotia
these first days of January 2018.”
