The prices at the gas pump
just keep going up and up!
oh where will it all end?

While the check i get each week
just makes me want to weep
what i'm paid for my labor is a sin!

The IRS just came and took my house
and called me a deadbeat dirty louse
for not sending in all my income tax!

While my wife wants an operation
i raise my hands in silent suplecation
cause my clothes are a used burlap sack!

And the prices at the gas pump
still keep going up and up
God i sure could use a paid vacation!

But the kids need new shoes
and it just gives me the blues
to see what's happening in our nation!

But the prices at the gas pump
just keep going up and up
while at work the boss is on my back!

Hey guess i might get that paid vacation
cause i just recieved an invitation
and Uncle Sam is sending me to Iraq!
