I drive an eighteen wheeler i am a truck driving man my life is on the highways that run throughout this land. Now those old eighteen wheels they sing a lonely song when you're driving down a highway a thousand miles from home. I see a pretty lady there standing by the road side just holding out her thumb and begging for a ride. And tonight i'll sleep in a motel but i wont sleep alone and tomorrow before sun up i'll be on the road and gone. And if that old black dog dont get me and i keep my log books stright maybe one day i'll get lucky and truck on through those pearly gates. |
