Today is a day of remembrance for all Americans and others around the world, as well. How wonderful if we could say "It's all over." but it isn't. The Global War on Terror is still alive today.

In light of the memories of this day, I would like to share both a poem and prose that I have written to mark the tragic day of 9/11/2001.

The poem has been published in several places and read aloud, as well. You can find "Tears In the Water" as #833 in the OurEcho postings.

"The Saddest Birthday" is a story I wrote about my husband, who just happened to be born on 9/11 back in the 20th century. That story is #845 and is one of the stories I have recorded, so you may either read it or listen to it.

There are those who would rather forget 9/11, but I would encourage you to keep it alive each year in honor of those who perished so needlessly and so tragically.

Weep for the families and lives lost, pray for those who were left to grieve.

Note: You may find the poem and story mentioned above by putting the title in the search box at the top of the Home Page.
