Although Joella is now deceased, there are,at least to me,many mysteries as of yet still unanswered, for instance, why were there two coronor reports issued, one by the russell county coronor which said the cause of death was natural, and caused by a brain enbolisn, and one from the lee county coronor which stated that the cause of death was accidental, caused from hitting her head in a fall. The lee county coronor had only ashes to examine so how could he have reached this conclusion? And why was her body rushed off to be cremated so quickly?and why the two coronor reports? The death certificate stated that the family was aware of the condition,so why did they wait so long in getting her to a hospital?Joella reportedly had many friends in and around phenix city, friends that she had made during her teen years as a student at central high school, friends that she had made in her many years of service in the pta and church groups,so why did they allow her only living son to sell her home out from under her and move her into a cheap little apartment on the outskirts of smiths?why if they were so devoted and concerned about her welfare did they not offer her a room in thier own homes?i am sure that Joella would have done as much for them. Why did not her loving son invite her to live in his rental house in Birmingham? or her so devoted and loving brother in sarasota florida ask her to come there and live?what about her aunt in columbus georgia,an 80 year old widow living alone in a warm and safe house?i might add aslo that she has a brother who lives in atlanta also, who no doubt has a large home in which he could have ask her to come live in.But no,she was instaed, relagated to living in a cheap one bed room apartment, alone and uncared for by her oh so devoted friends who i personally know that she went out of her way to help, she arranged the weddings of thier children, she helped them find employment and in many ways, she was like a surrogate mother to them, for that was her way,but when the chips were down, when she was of no further use, alone and needy, they ignored her plight, and she died alone and lonely in a forgotten little apartment in a small town. (to be continued)
