Theres an old forgotten soldier, who stands on the corner of our street, dressed in worn out clothing, with broken boots upon his feet. He once served his country bravely, in distant foreign lands, but his sacrifice is forgotten, as upon that street he stands. Alone now and forgotten, by the very country that he served, which is far, far less less than he deserves. He fought unselfishly, in wars he did not ask for, but he was proud to do his part, and those wars have left him broken, and wounded his his once brave heart. Now he is forgotten, on that corner of our street, alone now he stands as broken, as those boots upon his feet. |
