Where are all the smiles each and every one? There used to be a million but now they all have gone. You could always see one, on the faces of passer by's but now there is only sadness in those lonely searching eyes. Most are talking anxiously upon those old cell phones and even in a crowd now, everyone seems so alone. You used to hear from everyone a kind "how do you do" from a lot of different people that you never even knew. But now you see only sadness and mostly just a frown as you stroll along the sidewalk when you go down town. Where did all the smiles go? i only wish i knew for i miss them dearly and i am sure that you do too. So stranger, share a smile as you pass along your way and maybe it will return to you upon another day. |
