There have been many a tale told round camps and hearthstones too, about the seventh cavalry and the work they had to do, But the greatest i have heard was by my grandpaw told, about the gallant seventh and how hard they rode, It was formed in Alabama in the year of eithteen sixty one, and then they went to tennesee and there the battles won, They rode with old marse Robert and with Forest too they say, and thier story is still rememberd in the history books of today, So whenever tales are mentioned about battles lost or won, remember the gallant seventh in the year of sixty one... 7th Alabama Cavalry Rgt. 1860 - 1865 |
