Down there in our garden
your red roses still grow,
as sweet as when we planted them
beside that old gazebo,

and oft i wander down the path
of memories waiting there
and sit beneath it's roof,
remembering the love we shared,

as children it did welcome us
and around it we did play,
and oft we took respite
within it's welcome shade,

it welcomes me even now
at the closing of my days,
and i sit and smell the roses
that we planted along the way,

and when my time has finally come
you will be waiting there i know,
waiting there for me my love
in that old gazebo.
