Now this old life i'm living
aint exactly what i had in mind
cause i'd rather be out fishing
or drinking home made wine,

I'd rather be out golfing
with those old pals of mine
than clocking in at work
and wasting all my time,

wasting all my time
working day to day
working by the hour
with no time off to play,

just to make a living
and to pay off all my bills
cause i'd rather be out hunting
and i might just call in ill,

i'll tell the Boss i'm sick
that i have the flu
i dont care what i say
cause any excuse will do

just to get away from here
at least just one more time
to sooth these troubled nerves
and ease my crazy mind,

cause this life that i'm living
aint the one i have in mind
and working for my wages
is just a waste of time.
