Well,as i see it,it should be and is unlawful to torture anyone or anything for any reason, and in an effort to secure information i personaly feel that our govt.is and was prepared to go to any lenghts in order to get some people, water boarding is a form of torture whereby the subject is tied down and water is poured on them to the effect that it makes them panic, thinking they are being drowned,The United States of America is supposed to be a civilized Nation, why then would it's government resort to uncivilized and barbaric practices, such as this? Why do we as Citizens of this suposedly civilized country sit around and allow the Govt to suspend the united states constitution? Now i agree that the destruction of the world trade center was a barbaric act,a needless act of violence and barbaric, but why should we lower ourselves to thier level?in my opinnion if we as a nation can use torture to get a confession,we might as well be living in the middle ages and just go on a witch hunt, thats the equivelent of securing confessions by torture,we might as well be using the practice of public beheading to deter crime or we could just raise our hand in the nazi salute,in reference to the nazis,i think this is what happened in europe in the 1930's and the 1940's,didn't those people just sit around while hitler suspended the german constitution also?In closing i would like to leave one thought with you..."if it can happen to them,it can happen to me,if it can happen to me,it can happen to you."
