Dust Off the Car

DUST OFF THE CAR

Come on Esmerelda
I think the weathers settled down
Go dust off the car
And well drive into town.

And get some Colgate tooth powder
So we can clean our teeth
Maybe get a Root Beer float
We deserve a treat.

Ill empty the cookie jar
Where we stashed our money
How much we got?
Theres a dollar twenty.

Well bring back a soda pop
To give our neighbor
Poor guys got the mumps
And his wifes in labor.

Hurry now, get to work
Its getting late
Gotta be home
Before eight.

Thats milking time
Old Bessie is almost dry
Just enough milk for the baby
So he wont have to cry.

Old Jess, the mule
Ribs are showing through his hide
His belly is grumbling mightily
Waiting for food to put inside.

Forget the car Esmerelda
Im buying some prairie hay
To feed Bessie and Jess
Well treat them today.

Our time will come tomorrow
Maybe next week
Ill kill me a Jackrabbit
And tonight well have meat.
