Have you ever got a letter back?
The wonder you canít suppress
When on the front was stamped
No longer at this address.

This letter was sent
To some one you want to impress
Across the envelope was stamped
No longer at this address.

You hold it in your hand
While under much duress
There on the envelope was stamped
No longer at this address.

The fear you feel
Youíre trying to repress
It's stamped on that envelope
No longer at this address.

I received one once
But I tried with no success
To find the person written to
No longer at this address.

I re-addressed the envelope
That I held in my hand
I sent in care of God,
In the Promised Land.

That letter never came back
So this process I guess
Will work for you and me
When we are no longer at this address.
