So I gave It

A friend and reader of mine had a lady ask her, “How come Michael has been so
lucky to find true love twice?”

The lady was right. I have been blessed with two great women and loves. I know
it and write about it often, but I have not sat and thought about why.

When Georgia died, I felt empty. I looked to the sky and prayed, “Lord, I don’t
want to be alone. I want a woman by my side, someone to hold and love. I need a partner
to share the challenge and joy of life. I don’t want to travel through life alone.

Not long after, I met Ginny – my second gift from God.

How is it I have been so blessed? It’s because I give my love. With both Georgia
and Ginny – my two “G’s” – I gave and give my love. Their needs were and are always
first in my mind. When my wife is happy, then I am happy.

It is true what they say, “Give and you shall receive.” It is only by giving my love
that I can expect it in return. It is only by giving my wife respect that I can expect it in
return.

I wanted love in my life, so I gave it.
