Electric Transportation

Four and twenty
Golf carts parked in a row
Down at the lodge
By the Bistro.

Look at the savings
On Gasoline
Shuttling around
In your fancy electric machine.

Great for the environment
Keeping the planet green
No pollution’s from these
Electric machines.

But when they’re parked in the garage
And the batteries are discharged
They are all plugged into an outlet
Taking on a charge.

My TV picture
Hanging on the wall
Starts to shrink
Hard to see at all.

Lights dim, AC stalls
Slows the washing machine
Dishwasher stops
But we’re keeping the planet green.
