Woke up this morning
Stared at the ceiling
Just couldnít get
That poetry writin feeling.

I just know
Without a doubt
That you just couldnít stand it
To do a day without.

So this is short and sweet
While sittin here at a loss
Trying to stay out of the way
Of my Wifey boss.

If she sees me not typin
She can always find
Some little chore, or maybe more
To occupy my mind.

Mop the floor
Run the sweeper too
Dust those venetian blinds
Like you used to do.

The are the orders
That fall on my deaf ears
While sitting here
Pretending not to hear.

She comes up behind me
With a voice kinda gruff
Get up and do something
Get off your lazy duff.

The boss has spoken
My chin I am a strokin
My train of thought is broken
Now that Iím fully woken
Gimme that darn broom.
