Today's Water

Today's Water

is an attachment of flavours.
In my haste

old parchment as dried
up veins, the crinkle of news an
ancient message.

The desert, arid and never
ending. I am a sole survivor
in
the midst of plenty.

. . .

Last night not alone, by your side
loving, needing.

In the dawn a memory of
dreams
the water of our living

so necessary for survival.
