St Valentines Day Party 2-20-39

Extra, Extra get your “Chelsea Chimes” here
To get the latest news, doncha see
About School House District No. 10
Built in the heart of Chelsea
(Kansas that is)

Barbara’s editorial
“LINCOLN versus WASHINGTON
She has written
About two great men

We all waited impatiently
For time to pass away
There would be a party with candy and refreshments
On this, St. Valentines Day.

We got ten Valentines for a few cents,
Which was mighty handy
This was a heck of a lot cheaper
Than getting your sweetheart chocolate candy.

You held your breath
While the Valentines were passed around
Hoping against Hope
One from your girlfriend would be found.

Just another week
Now you’re up to snuff
With the “Chelsea Chimes”, doncha know.
