We get old too soon
and smart too late
but thats just life
and thats our fate.

But the foolish things
I thought when young
some times I wish
could be undone.

For too soon gone
those youthful dreams
as we put aside
all childish things

and view the world
with a critical eye
and forsake the truth
and embrace the lie.

We forget the joy
that Santa brings,
the Tooth Fairy
and all those things.

As we are taught
that they dont exist
but the real truth
is simply this,

though the world might tempt
and seek to beguile
in Every ones heart
beats the heart of a Child.
