Diggin Taters

Diggin Taters

Diggin taters ainít no fun
Out here in the patch
Better to pick up spuds
Than to stand and watch

Because the day is cold
Thereís a chilly breeze
Probably come down with a cold
Scuse me while I sneeze..

Seems as if those taters
Donít mount up very fast
Weíve been pickin for hours
Donít know how much longer I can last.

Oh come on Josh
You heard Dad say
If we pick two barrels full
We could run to the river and play.

Finally
Thatís barrel number two
We can now load them in the wagon
Hooray weíre through.

Josh, I donít know about you
Iím too tired to run
Letís jus go to the house
Tomorrow weíll have our fun.
