Wrinkle Free

Sprinkle it with water
Momís doing it for me
Sheíll use that old flat iron
And my shirts wrinkle free

When you throw the covers
Back at night you want to see
A smooth clean sheet
Thatís wrinkle free.

When you drive down the road
Those car tracks you want to see
Free of rough spots and potholes,
And wrinkle free.

But when I look into the mirror
What do I see?
An old face
Thatís not wrinkle free.

Behind each wrinkle
Thereís a story to be told
Of some past experience
Resting in the fold.

The story of my life
Is mapped out on my face
But when I laugh
The wrinkles are erased.
