Halloween 2010

Halloween 2010

Halloween 2010

Halloween 2010

When I was a kid at Halloween
I could see Ghosts at every turn
Witches, Goblins and Gnomes
In my head, round and round would churn

Every night during Halloween
I went to bed
It sure wasnít sugar plums
That danced through my head

As I heard the wind moan outside
The sound of that loose window screen
And the tree limbs scraping against the house
I thought I would scream

But as I grew older
Those crazy thoughts began to fade
Those scary things as a kid were gone,
I had it made.

That all changed one October day
When I stepped out on our street
High up in the sky
A creepy scene my eyes did greet

It had to be the Wicked Witch of the East
Straggly gray hair blowing in the wind
High above the rocky hills
Was she just around the bend?

Was this a Sign, a Hex, or Omen
Iím asking you?
Or just some weird windswept cloud
Passing through.
