The Other Side of Christmas

Christmas is a joyous time
Decorated trees, outside lighting galore
Food, candy canes, cookies and fudge
Carols, parades, gifts, love and more,

As you prepare for Christmas Day
You remember the ones no longer here
Those that have passed away
Those we held so dear.

Mothers, Fathers
Daughters and Sons
Friends and Neighbors
Everyone

Is not forgotton
On this great day
As we enjoy this Christmas Season
Back in our mind we pray

For the Lord to keep them
With tender loving care
Until our time comes
To join them there

Then the great celebration
Sadness no more
As we mingle with our loved ones
To be beside them evermore.
