And Did it Rain?

The sun disappeared about a week ago
And the rain started falling
It got dark and gloomy
The scene was appalling.

The freeways are a mess
Many homes destroyed
The beaches contaminated
More misery for the unemployed

The sun disappeared
The rain started falling
It got dark and gloomy
The scene was appalling.

Road closures, mud slides
Makes traveling a chore
The streets wet and slippery
Potholes galore.

Catch basins filled to the max
Rock slides on the mountain roads
Streets filled with mud
Patience on overload.

The sun disappeared
The rain started falling
It got dark and gloomy
The scene was appalling.

Christmas time in two thousand ten
Will ever be remembered
As the wettest in History
Seems as if the days are numbered

The sun disappeared
The rain started falling
It got dark and gloomy
The scene was appalling.

Saw a tiny bit of sunshine
The first time, in a week
Gotta check the attic
Hoping the roof didnít leak.

Christmas day supposed to be clear
Sun shining bright
Santa needs clear skies
On Christmas night.

The sun disappeared
The rain started falling
It got dark and gloomy
The scene was appalling.
