Have you ever heard a relative say to you,"You have Uncle Joe's eyes"?Or maybe they might say "My My,You look just Aunt Sue when You Smile?"
Well,I personally have heard all of these remarks and more for most of my life.So I wrote this little poem for all of you that may or may not have had this experience.
A Man Of Many Parts

My Chin I got from Great Grand Ma
My ForeHead from My Dad,
My Hair I got from My Grand Pa
and My Mouth from Uncle Chad.

From Cousin Mary twice removed
thats where I got My teeth,
and from Uncle Ned I'm told
I got My two big Feet.

My name I got from Uncle Jim
and My Eyes from Aunt Louise
sometimes it's hard to figure out
which part of Me is Me.

My hands I got from Uncle Joe
My Arms from Mom's Aunt Sue,
sometimes it gets Me so mixed up
I dont know what to do.

For with all these mixed up parts
from People that are My Kin,
it's hard to figure out
just where My Self begins.
