Sardines in a can
I love you so much
in oil, mustard or
tomato sauce
I'm always at
your beck and call
because you are
my delicious
scaly boss

Sardines in a can
with your despicable
pull top cover
I tug and tug
and tug and tug
you're as difficult
to open
as a troublesome thug!

Sardines in a can
lined up so pretty
no head for a mug shot
no tail for a hand
I hold my fork
with sadistic pleasure
you're now
at my command!

So here is my ode to
sardines in a can
ye luscious brain food
from the sea
Arrrrr me matey
I just can't resist
of that I shamelssly
plead guilty
