Happy Motherís Day to AllÖ

My Mother, Lura Dishno loved Christmas, Easter and Motherís Day in about that order.

On Motherís day I would always write a little poem or limerick for her. The older she got the more she enjoyed them.
Mom lived with us for 9 years until she passed away at 95 and when she got up on Motherís Day, she would immediately start looking around the house for my poem. I tried never to disappoint her.

I recently ran across a limerick that I gave her on her last Motherís Day. For what itís worth, here it is.

Happy Motherís Day to my wonderful Mudder.
You are one of a kind, You are like no udder.
I have heard a lot of guys,
Refer to my size,
Saying, ďGiving birth to him must have fractured your rudder.Ē

Mom loved it and put it away in her secret chest.

Mom died 19 years ago today, but she will live forever in my heart. I know she is in a better place now and someday in the not too distant future, we can go back to writing limericks. Heavenly style, of course.
