According to yahoo news, wtv says that Phenix City has pledged at least 1/2 million dollars to a project called "get ready to raft" I guess this 1/2 million dollare came from the 4 million dollars that was borrowed from HUD to build the "Summit" Hospital, now called the "jack Houston" hospital.
I probably misspelled the houghston name anyway, but lets surmise a bit,the old "Cobb" hospital building sits abandoned and delapidated while the "Jack Hougston" hospital is very seldom utilized by Phenix City Residents who mostly choose to utilize the columbus area hospitals. Our illustreous Mayor,Sonny Coulter likens yard sale people to "living next door to a thrift store" my personel feeling is,whats wrong with "living next door to a thrift store"?I guess our illustreous mayor never had to struggle to make ends meet each month, nor struggle to find money to buy your children clothes.
Getting back to the 1/2 million dollars pledged to the "get ready to raft" by Phenix City project,Phenix City cant even keep the local roads in workable condition so where IS that money coming from? Alabama already contemplating laying off people in it's judicial syatem, whats next? will the mayors wife loose her job as county clerk? i doubt that.
Be careful Phenix City, you might wind up being up the creek without a paddle in this current "project"
