His name it does not matter
it suffices to say we were friends
He learned to trust me implicently,
and I learned to trust in Him.

We were boon Companions
in those days when both were young,
when Summer days seemed endless,
and We played in the Summer Sun.

We lived our Young life to it's fullest
exploring our life and the world
and it was a sure thing to happen
and one day we discoverd Girls.

She was Young and Beautiful
and each wanted Her for His own
and thus it was bound to happen,
the seeds of jealousy were sown.

We became Her ardent Suiters
both My good Friend and I
and the Friendship we knew vanished,
as We told each other great lies.

But Father time has a bad habit
of making every thing grow old
My hair turned gray,My friend moved away,
and She married a Sailor,I'm told.
