On Mocking Bird Lane
theres a smell that is there
and it smells bad beyond
compare.
It's an Old Folks Home
and somthing is wrong
and nothing there will
change.
On Mocking Bird Lane
They will play no Games
and Some cant remember
Names.
While Some sit in a Chair
and talk to the air
and no one i know feels
ashamed.
Theres a bad smell in the air
thats beyond all compare,
down on Mocking Bird
Lane.
This Poem is not about any Nursing Home in perticular,it is merely my effort to get people to understand that warehousing the Old or the Sick and needy is wrong,I know that some homes are better than others and some people take better care of these old folks, but a lot are like my poem, out of sight and out of mind alone left abandoned and forgotten.
