My Apology to the Hospital Clock

After cursing that Hospital clock
Giving it all sorts of grief
As I start feeling better
And now that Iím feeling some relief

Iíve changed my mind
About that Hospital clock
Saying nothing but
Tick Tock, Tick Tock

As I started to mend
That old clock was really my friend
And with each Ėtick-
I was feeling less sick.

That old clock
Was telling me
I was getting better
Doncha see

By ticking off the seconds
My life was extending
Each Ėtick-
A message was sending

Get better each day
Soon you will leave
To your wife and home
Ah such a reprieve

Tell that old Hospital clock
I love it more each day
Showing me time as itís passing
I just have one thing to say

It kept me from thinking
Rather sinister thoughts
Keeping me abreast of MY time
With that beautiful
Tick Tock, Tick Tock
