If You are Old
or a Cripple,
a Veteran,or Gay
You are alone and
forgotten
in America,Today.
If you happen to live
on the wrong side of the
track
are poor,or insane,
Illegal Alien,or
Black,
if You have no job
and no money to pay
You are alone and forgotten,
in America,Today.
There are no Lincolns
no Rosevelts,no Kennedy's
no Hero's to save the day,
for they have all been purchased
or taken away,
Here, in America,
in America,Today.
For the almighty dollar
holds absolute sawy
here,in America,
in America, today.
Bob Mitchum
