On a recent visit to Podunk County Township to visit with My Uncle Fossill and Aunt Flossie Mae,He and I got into a rather heated discussion concerning American History.Uncle Fossill was of the opinnion that Christopher Columbus did not discover America in 1492,when I questioned Him on this He allowed that America could not have been discovered in 1492 as (in his opinnion)it was never lost in the first place,He further informed Me that the Native Americans had just hidden it very well to keep the Vikings from finding it.
UNCLE FOSSILL TELLS ME ABOUT
HONEST ABE AND THE CHERRY TREE
Uncle Fossill told Me that Honest Abe cut down His Fathers Cherry tree with an axe accidently while splitting logs to build the rail road west,when His Father George Washington asked Him who cut the tree Honest Abe replied "Father I cannot tell a lie,it was Wild Bill Cody!Of course Father George did not believe him and promptly gave Honest Abe the whupping of His Young life!
