The Little Music Box Dancer
I bought for Your first Birthday
still Dances to Her Music
in the same old way.

And each time that I open it
Your memory floods My Mind
as the Little Dancer Dances
to the music keeping time.

Though She seems to dance sadly now
not so happy and gay
as She did when I bought Her
for You on Your first Birthday.

She is still dressed in bright attire
and dances in the same way
But You are gone from My Life
and the music sounds sad as it plays.

So today I took Her to the cemetary
and placed Her on Your grave
remembering when I bought Her
for You,on Your first Birthday.
Bob Mitchum
