One quiet and Peaceful Night
as I did lay a dreaming
My Soul It did take Flight
through Moon Beams a streaming.

And I dreamed I flew to Ireland
to a Festival there
and in that enchanted land
I met a Maiden Fair,

She offered me a sip or two
of Her Sweet Cherry Wine
and gladly did I drink that Brew
as We whiled away the time.

My Heart She did enthrall
as Our Bodies did entwine
and it mattered not at all
that I drank Her Cherry Wine,

She said We must get Married
Sir both You and Me
but I thought to long I'd tarried
in that land across the Sea.

So I left Her there a crying
in that Land of enchanted dreams
and My Soul It went a flying
back through those streaming moon beams,

and I awoke at Home within My bed
as that morning cock did crow
Her voice still ringing in My Head
saying Bobby I love You so.

But thats the way life comes
or so it seems to Me
for after all is said and done
Love is only one long dream.
