Summer is at an end
November winds are blowing
as if they are knowing
that soon it will be snowing
as winter settles in.

As winter settles in
warm fires will be glowing
and no crops will be growing
and the famers are knowing
that summer is at an end.

As winter settles in
the wild gesse southward are going
as the full moon is glowing
I can hear them in the wind
as winter settles in.
Bob Mitchum
