I Cry for the Tiger
as it tries to survive
I cry for all things
so free and so wild.

I cry for the Wolf
who struggles to live
in a world of Mankind
who has not an inch to give.

A world of Man who
hunts for the thrill
and never eats anything
that He viciously kills.

I cry for the Grizzely
that lives in the Hills
He's been there forever
and He is there still.

I cry for the Oceans
the waters of life
so sick now and ill
and under great strife.

I cry for Mother Earth
who has been so rudely shorn
of most of Her beauty
with which She was born.

Yet Man still plunders
this Earth He calls home
and refuses to see
that He is alone.
Bob Mitchum
