Now I know that old truck
aint much on looks
and telling this tale
is one for the books

but driving that old truck
takes a lot of nerve
cause the doors fly open
when you go around a curve

and the radiator leaks
and it has four bald tires
the headlights wont come on
cause it has some loose wires

the horn dont blow
cause it aint there
and when I drive it
people point and stare

and it uses oil
like it's going out of style
and on five gallons of gas
it only goes one mile

the sheriff done warned me
that he'll run me in
if he catches me driving
that old truck again

he said that old truck
is a moving violation
and a crime against nature
on the roads of this nation

now that old truck
is one helluva mess
it has no brakes
nor a GPS

but it gets me there
when I need to go to town
even though i have to add water
to cool the engine down

and I know people laugh
cause I've heard them talking
but driving that old truck
is a heap better than walking!
