Guard of the Jeongneung Tomb

Guard of the Jeongneung Tomb

O mighty soldier
Standing all alone
Warding off the enemies
Of your fallen leaders tomb

There have been thousands before me
That have visited you before
Since that fateful year
Of fourteen ninety-four.

Your countenance has held up through the ages
Through wind, rain, snow
While warding off all those evils
Coming up from below.

As I stand with my hand
On the scabbard
Of your trusty
Ever ready Sword

I stand as an humble soldier
Of another age, you see
I stand with pride
Along with history.
