I've travelled this world in good company
and I've travelled this world all alone,
I've travelled this world for a million miles
but the mountains are taller toward home.

I've travelled through lots of dark valley's
and walked rocky hard trails that were long,
I've flown as high as the eagles that soar
but the mountains get taller toward home.

I've travelled to lots of starnge places
and listened as foreign voices sang songs,
Ive sat around strange camp fire at night
but I always thought I would get home.

But now as I wearily travel in places
familiar places that I always have known,
I find that my journey gets harder
for the mountains are taller toward home.
