Happy Thanksgiving to all...

To me the greatest smell in the world is the smell of Thanksgiving dinner wafting thru the house all day starting early in the morning and continuing until well after bedtime.

This Thanksgiving we had our "turkey" day a week earlier since our son, David and his wife visited us and couldn't stay past Saturday. Since they only get to visit us a couple of times a year, Roz went all out and made it a great day full of the traditional smells and ending it with a beautiful pumpkin pie. The next few days were filled with my favorites...Turkey sandwiches and dressing.

We are thankful for many things but one of them is to be living in a small community like Dillon. The community churches host a free dinner to anyone in town and since Roz and I are both somewhat handicapped, they delivered 4 dinners to us this morning. Roz told them we only needed two but the answer was, "No you needed four. Two for now and two more for leftovers." Is this a great country or what? Look at all the day after trimmings we will enjoy again. If I keep this up, I may end up looking like and overstuffed turkey. The only thing missing was the smell of cooking, but what the heck, the smell isnít fattening anyway.

God Bless all of you. We are thankful for your being our friends.

We are most thankful for being able to live in the greatest country in the world.
